I used to search through AWS Cloudwatch logs during some troubleshooting. For some reason, I was able to get only half (usually last few characters) of the "ID" through a customer or customer representative.
The autofilled helped me do some trail and error on my own, and later the context of issue (such as dates etc) help me pinpoint the log I needed.
This could be much more common case. Taking that assumption to base my feature request :p
